The Washington NFL Football Team has made the long overdue decision to change their racially insensitive nickname. This was our first campaign when Inspire America launched 2019. While our efforts at Inspire America played a small role in this righteous decision, we fully appreciate the sacrifices made by men like George Floyd. The tragedy of his untimely death sparked a firestorm of change across the country. One of those changes was supported by FedEx and the Mayor of Washington DC. Under their powerful pressure, the Washington Football Team finally made the right-minded change. After five years of working this issue from coast to coast, Inspire America helped bring about the change in just six months. We thank all those who stood by us and inspired America.
